Edited 2 months agoPressing and music are very decent but packaging very mediocre. I don’t like gatefold when is not necessary.. there’s nothing more beautiful that a single jacket with a proper cardboard material and nice prints details (glossy, embossed, etc..) and also printed inside like “on the beach/ Neil Young)
In the harmony codex the geometric form should be printed with a glossy finish.. a wasted opportunity in my opinion.
If there are two discs, gatefold is ok.
On this one, the gatefold material is poor and the art is not very convincing.
But the music is the opposite, very well produced.
So.. 4 stars for me -
Wilson went all out on this one and results are just spectacular! The pressing itself is literally perfect with no background noise, very well mastered and the music itself is something else. Best to crank it enjoy! -
Faultless pressing that sounds utterly incredible. I've been listening to this a lot over the last 5-6 days and I'm starting to consider saying that it's my favourite solo album (or at least up there amongst my favourites). I'm absolutely blown away and it feels like ages since an album has really grabbed me like this one has.

Edited one month agoPerfect pressing for me, qc all good. I wasn't sure when I first heard it but it has really grown on me and I rate it highly now. -
Mine has visible non-fill on side A resulting noisy crackle during the quiet intro part. Not happy at all with this.

Edited 2 months agoNear perfect pressing. Very quiet backgrounds. Not a fan of Showell’s mastering and this doesn’t change things, but happy with the pressing.
