I compared this to the 2025 standard reissue. The VMP was cut by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound, but the 2025 standard reissue is from J Powell, so they are different mixes.

Of course I knew that before checking the matrix because they sound quite different. I'd say the standard issue is a good reissue for its price, but the VMP is elevated quite a bit. Sound is more detailed to my ear. The VMP pressing is also just way quieter, which was the most obvious difference and really doesn't have anything to do with Smith or Powell.

The Vmp Pressing is on extremely quiet vinyl and is very pleasing. The jacket from VMP is also much higher quality, though I will note that the standard reissue is rather glossy compared to the VMP's matte look.

I am confused-it states that it is Craft Recordings..VMP Series ( Club)...so why it is $45 on VMP website ( $40 price) and $ 28 on Craft Recordings site? Same RKS...same matrix?

Flat, quiet, beautiful mix, what more could you ask for? Highly recommend.

Wow. I second everything everyone said. I never question the mastering of Ryan Smith, but VMP pressings are garbage half the time. Out of about 15 I have, MAYBE 5 play relatively silent. This one is one of those.

Play-graded today, what a stunner from CCR & VMP. Sounds superb on The RTR Turntable.

Sounds simply amazing. Leaps out of the speakers and honestly for colored vinyl it's pretty quiet. I can also say that yes, it sounds so good that I don't really care if it was cut from digital or analog. RKS continues to maintain his galactic reputation.

The only other Creedence I have in the house is a Korean pressed Greatest Hits from 1989. This album sounds fantastic and I am happy to have it.

My copy sounds great and looks cool too. It sounds pretty good to me considering the source material.

Mine is skipping like hell right out of the gate. Did all of the standard needle cleaning, static.... still first track was mangled. Working my way through the others presently.

I have never listened to a CCR album before, although of course I have heard their big hits many times. This is wonderful from start to finish. It sounds good and my copy is flat and reasonably quiet. I am not very happy with VMP these days, but I am very happy with this record!
