Recently acquired a copy of this at a record fair and digitised it. After a few plays, something dawned on me: on both sides, the stereo tracks are reversed (L->R & R->L) relative to the digital versions from the album that you can stream from Apple Music or YouTube. It’s quite subtle on Head Over Heels, but much easier to detect on The Visitors. To rule out the obvious possibility that I’d wrongly wired up the cartridge or record player, I compared other tracks I’ve digitised (by ABBA and other bands) with their streamed versions, and the stereo mixes are the same. Can anyone else confirm or invalidate my findings? My pressing is the UK version with injected labels; runouts say EPC-A-2037-A1/EPC-A-2037-B4 and “TOWNHOUSE”.
