It's rather strange to see so little on this wonderful album (which is 25 years old today). Dark (much darker than Ultra), cinematic, a little punk and a little crazy - all this is about Alan's first full-length album after Depeche Mode. And, frankly, against the background of Unsound Methods, Depeche's album sounds too simple and pop. Happy Birthday, Unsound Methods!

Edited 2 years agoI was very unsure about this album at first, thought it was too weird, and thought Doug's vocals a bit too abrasive. But after a proper listen I was completely blown away! Makes me sad to think how Depeche Mode could have progressed with Alan Wilder.
