This is much better than Shades of Blue. Not as good as Kind of Blue but what is. This is a great album and quite rare so get it while you can. Very highly recommended

Edited 2 years agoAstonishingly good. It wears its Kind of Blue modal chops well but never in a derivative way. If you like the ensemble work of Rendell/Carr (esp Shades of Blue) you will absolutely love this record. -
This is the best Jazz lp I've heard this year. Beautiful "cool" and elegant sound (look at the cover) with a lick of modern expeiments. Such a great music!
