This is probably one of my favorite records in my collection. The split is so beautiful and it reminds me of Hayley's hair from the era! My copy doesn't have any issues regarding distortion, warps, skipping. The pressing is super punchy, has great lows, and excellent clarity.

Everyone’s left a review on mostly the sound, but I’d like to share a small opinion about the artwork. The cover lost a bit of the HD image quality that the original 2013 pressing had. I compared my copies side-by-side and this new one has a more pixelated print. Also I really wish this was a gatefold with more photos or even liner notes.

no issue with sound, however is anyone else’s first lp significantly lighter than the second? it’s immensely flimsier and less of a clean split in comparison to side c/d too. pretty strange! wish more would’ve been done considering it’s a 10th anniversary pressing but overall these reissues are still worth getting over the poor original release

Is it just me or are these anniversary pressings sounding a lot clearer and more crisp than the original pressings?

I for one love the color. It reminds me of Hayley in the Still Into You video. The quality is on par with the black repress from last year(?) or 2022, not sure when it was exactly repressed.

Edited one year agoit seems some others have issues with their pressings…however, mine played beautifully. i love the colors they chose for this split-look. reminds me of hayley’s hair from that time. no static, no distortion, no distinctive surface noise. was well worth the wait from the preorder date.

Edited one year agoWas a little worried that the split coloring would somehow affect the sound quality as compared to my 2022 pressing with the original cover (especially after the iffy sounding This is Why pressings), but I am happy to report that is not the case. This pressing is just as full of punch, clarity and low end with little to no notable surface noise as my other pressing. Buy with confidence.
As for the split itself, I love how each of the new variants corresponds to hair colors Hayley would sport during the time period. My LP1 is split at an angle to the label, but my LP2 is split right down the middle.
Small nitpicks only involve the paper inner sleeves, and the fact that this would have been a perfect opportunity to include the bonus/live tracks from the streaming deluxe version, if they did want to go all out for the 10th anniversary. I hate only having the Last Hope live performance on YouTube.
Played on an Audio Technica ATLP120X with an ATVM95ML cartridge. -
After the B-side of my This Is Why copy sounded a bit distorted on certain tracks and was just overall not as punchy as dynamic as the A-side, I was skeptical of how this repress of S/T would sound. Consider me pleasantly surprised that this has quickly become one of the best sounding records in my entire collection. So much detail in the production is captured and well represented, it's absolutely dead silent front to back with zero static, pops or skips, and the vocals are crystal clear. Just so impressed with crisp it all is, it sounds fantastic and I'd recommend it to anyone like me who's been after this album for a while, given it's been out of print in the UK for a while.
