there are 2 pressings, the first as mentioned with the early fades then a repressing with those faults rectified.
The CD remained in print for less than two years and, according to Abba: The Worldwide Charts Lists, sold just 5,786 copies during that time. -
It's unbelievable that one of the biggest selling albums of all time in Australasia received such a poor CD release. The quality of the CD pressing is atrocious. The intro of about half of the tracks on the CD is cut off, so the songs start a couple of seconds later than they are supposed to. Also, there are quite audible sudden volume changes, for example at the start of "Ring Ring". It's hard to believe that this is actually an official release, but it is. I bought this CD in the eighties for nostalgic reasons because it's such an iconic album, but frankly I could do a better job burning my own CD. The quality department of RCA should hang its head in shame.
