Reviews
-
So pretty and was kinda hard to find especially recently. Not sure what the story of the pressing is but like other reviews it does pop a lot on side b bejeweled and labyrinth.
-
Side A plays perfectly fine but side B is quite noisy, lots of pops especially on Bejeweled/Labyrinth
-
I got this album on the cheap, a secondhand copy from Whatnot with the intention of giving it to my sister, who lives in the UK, but she gave me permission to listen to it beforehand. I can totally see this as this generation's Abbey Road, complete with the over-stimulated record pressing plants. We've made it full circle with records sounding like they did in the 60s and 70s.
Swifties who complain about the pressing quality, you woke up the mediocrity of vinyl records once again. A record of Speak Now from 2010 is going to sound better than a copy of Midnights from 2023. And I've heard worse records that were new outside of the shrink.
Ortofon 2M Red > Pro-Ject Debut III > Kenwood KR-710 > Technics SH-8020 > Yamaha MX-35 > 2x Design Acoustics PS-10s -
This version is so noisy, cleaned it a lot but nothing gets the background sound away….
The other pressings aren’t as noisy. -
-
I will be the first one to defend Taylor but what a stupid, stupid, stupid cash grab by her team. It really has gotten to a point where labels know that variant collectors will purchase every color of vinyl at their obscene prices (even if it isn't different from other versions). Nonetheless, I did spend $30 on my 6th copy of Midnights LMAO.

-
For those who think this is the target version, it’s 2 totally different colors, and the UK press is darker, yes it’s a cash grab but all 3 are different
-
-
False advertising by Taylor and Republic. This is nothing exclusive. It's the Target version from Canada.
