My favorite Testament album. Out of all of their back catalogue, this is the most accomplished and consistent record they did.
Chuck's vocals are at their best. The guitar and bass playing is inspired, intricate enough but catchy and crushing at the same time. Both Murphy's and Peterson's solos are awesome and make me not miss Skolnick's too much. Tempesta does a remarkable job on the drums.
The production is dense and heavy, but still sharp and clear enough to hear all the details and nuances in the playing, thus highlighting the sense of great musicianship that the album exudes.
'Last Call' might be a bit of an anti-climactic way to close such a rollercoaster ride, but it doesn't take away from the 11 tracks that preceded it, and it's still a nice (if odd) addition.
Get this album and crank it up, it's a landmark of 90's heavy music!
