Edited 9 months agoWhen are we going to get the Seattle variant of the vinyl added? I have the Met Club variant & Seattle Pop-Up shop variant. Waiting to add that one to my collection. -
The notes for this release say that it was exclusive to fan club , but I was able to purchase without being in the fan club. Only became aware after searching this release when my friend who is a bigger Metallica fan than I am was talking about the value of this pressing. Was anyone else who isn’t a fan club member able to purchase one? -
Great sound, super edition.
The rarest in the 72S line. Made in the color of the cover.
I think it will soon disappear and will no longer be available for purchase. -
I listened to this for some time now and as a '1st First 4 Albums Fan I must say I am really enjoying the work.
Sound is very nice and production is fine also.
For those collectors and calling it 'Mint'......
I suggest before you buy any 'Mint' versions to open the seal nonetheless. My version had in one record a 'bite' out of the outer rim of the vinyl. That means I can listen to the records without issues but I have to put the needle on it very delicately not to hit this edge of the 'bite' taken out and damaging my needle.
In the meantime I get a replacement since more 'errors' have accured based on the response.
That means somehow they had to make a 'replacement press'. -
Only 745 people have added this to their collection on Discogs, so there is no way there were 10,000 of these pressed. My guess would be 2,000 copies. I bought this from their website and it sold out very quickly. -
On my copy, the pressing of Disc 2 is terrible... The head of my turntable's arm is shaking from left to right and I am getting nauseous looking at it, or even hearing the terrible effect on the sound...
The pressing of Disc 1 was very fine... and Disc 2 on my other copies is also fine...
Too bad I can't ask for a replacement at Metallica Webstore as it is sold out... :'-( -
I ed the Metallica US web store to ask how many copies of the Yellow Splatter had been manufactured and their reply stated that they didn’t have the exact figure but it was definitely less that 5000. -
This is going regularly for over 200 on EBay and I saw a few were sold here for 250-300 but all those sales have been deleted, strange -
This record absolutely rocks and sounds great! It's unfortunate that scammers buy these records only to flip with no intention of ever listening to the music, but that's the world we live in.
A collector's item for sure! -
Be aware of scammers. There are very low price LP being sold that look too good to be true.
