still a pig work, on the 3 lp, two have lots of claws. (look at the light) We see that the lp were quickly pressed. Some are warped. At this price, this is unacceptable. Luckily, I'm not being fooled anymore, I order on amazon and I exchange all my packages until I have 3 lps which are correct...I think I'm going to have to do a pair of exchanges.... What a shame because this Soundtrack is AMazing. -
I have been critical of previous Laced Resident Evil pressings. My copies of RE2make, 5, and 7 are abysmal.
I am happy to report that this pressing of Resident Evil 1996 is excellent. A few clicks here and there but overall one of, if not the best Laced/RE pressing to date.
That said, I sent my first copy back as the postman decided to use it as a doorstop or something.. but it allowed me to hear 2 different copies and they weren't the same - the first copy's disc 1 was a little noisy in comparison so you may be rolling the dice here. But in general this is leagues above what they have put out previously.
On the music itself, I love this. I can't really play the game anymore so I am glad I can revisit it in the form of this soundtrack. I do enjoy the more contemporary RE music, but this has so much more personality in my opinion.
It's a really nice release with cool artwork. I would recommend picking this up if you're a fan, even if the price is a tad steep.

Once again, Laced's questionable quality control disappoints. LP2 side A has annoying popping along the entire first half of the side, however, I'm pretty sure it'll disappear if I clean it. Otherwise, Side A of LP1, Side B of LP2, and the entirety of LP3 sound pretty great.
The main problem, however, is that the track "Treat To Awful Fright" on side A has a scratch that loops the same 5-second sound bit over and over until I manually pick up and move the needle. This would be a pretty solid release if not for this. Requesting a replacement asap.
