Edited 7 months agoThe music is five stars, but the noisy vinyl (crackles and pops after anti-static brush and multiple wet brush cleanings) and horrendous red-line mastering only earn 1 star from me. Also, my stereo system is set up to lean warm when necessary, but even then, it doesn't obscure that this release has been mastered hot (mids and highs are distorted, harsh, and sonically fatiguing). I'm rating this a 2-star press. What a shame for such beautiful music and my $35. Verve dropped the ball with this one, it's one of the worst sounding records in my collection.
