Side one is muffled and doesn’t sound good. Like throwing a blanket over your speakers. Side two sounds much better. It has some punch. Look for a better pressing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have an unusual copy of this WB/Rhino reissue - gold vinyl side A, black vinyl side B. A mispress I'm guessing? Or is it a different release in the catalog? The label and identifier #s check out.

The sound is quite shallow on Side A. And I have a tube set up.
Side B is a little bit better which saved it from 3-star rating. -
This record sounds so fucking good, KPG always brings the drums out to be a vital part of the sound and make them nice and snappy! Only drawback is that the vinyl is pretty crummy and noisy, but otherwise the record sounds fantastic

I wasn't expecting much, as I've had issues with reissued classic vinyl just sounding dull. I got home threw it on, and the doors were blasted right off my house! Even my 2 and 4 year old daughters who only love Frozen and Trolls jumped up on the table and started dancing. This fucker is loud. The loudest record I own by far. I forget that's why Deep Purple rules. And really they didn't need a guitarist because that organ is what destroyed my house.
Now, anyone got a recommendation for a house remodeling contractor? -

I was lucky enough to get a NM copy recently & I played it all the way through loud. I love it. Sounds so good! Great mastering from Kevin Gray.
-
Excellent remaster. I don't have an original to compare but I can't imagine this gives much, if anything, away. If you want a mint sounding copy you can't go wrong here. Bonus points for seriously skinny deadwax which appears to be faithful to the original in looking at pictures of the original pressings.

Excellent 180g remaster, gives nothing away to the original. Kevin Gray once again proves his considerable skills. GF jacket is great too, all in all Recommended.
