Brilliant pressing of a fantastic album. The mixing is superb and on top of that it’s pressed on an audiophile blend (translucent brown when held up to a light). Definitely look into this one

As others have mentioned. This version of this wonderful album sounds really excellent. Superb clarity, balance of highs, lows and great sound stage. Recommended

I'd be curious to know why the matrix for side D is slightly different than the OG.
I reckon the 'R' that was added would mean they had to recut that side for audio reasons (anyone with an OG has heard something weird on that side?) or technical reasons (a damaged mother, stamper...).
Anyone care to chime in? -
Edited one year agoIn my opinion this is the best alternative if you don’t have the money or courage to get the original pressing of Clube da Esquina. Heck, I don’t even want an original pressing after buying this one - this is more than enough. It’s just that good.
Kindly called “the blue straw pressing” between brazilian collectors - check the pictures to understand why -, this was pressed in the 70s just like the original pressing (albeit a few years later), so bear in mind that this is some old vinyl, which means that it might be hard to come by an immaculate copy in of sound quality.
It is worth it if you can find a good copy though - especially because prices for copies of this exact pressing seem to be at least 3 to 4 times cheaper than OGs, in my experience. -
Can anyone say something about the sound of this particular pressing? The older/original pressings are too expensive, this one often appears with cheaper prices.
