I'm sure these masterpieces are much older than 1999. At that year, Maryanne had 61 years. I'm pretty confident she composed them much earlier. -
Amazing work! This was the first time I became aware of the fact that you could play with these inner ear distortions. It's not an easy listen, but definitely worth the experience. PLAY LOUD. -
Many of these pieces work with distortion product otoacoustic emissions, auditory illusions produced by specific combinations of tones. Really interesting, but you'll need to listen at high volumes to get the full effect.
