Finally splurged on a copy. This is supposed to be an official release, licensed to King Record from Varese Sarabande - no idea if that's really the case or not, but that's what's printed on the cover, too. The cover imagery lacks sharpness as if from a scan of the original cover (although the Korean text is also blurry).
The vinyl is a nice weight and the sound quality is excellent, or at least it would be were my copy not an almost comically off-center pressing which introduces a very noticeable warble into the audio, particularly on Side B. Don't know if that's endemic to the entire run or if I just ended up with a bad disc.
The recent Quartet vinyl release of the expanded score is great, but for the original soundtrack format the only options are this version and the Greek vinyl. -
