Edited 2 years agoI can confirm rabuc: pressing looks fine but beside a little background noise on all sides, side two crackles really significant. Hope it will be less after cleaning, but this sounds like another Italian pressing I own where both sides have this manufacturing defect. Somewhat annoying. Fortunately, side two doesn't necessarily have quiet tracks, so it's only massively noticeable at the beginning of the side.
Apart from the partial problems with the media quality, the sound is great and the record is a must for every Pearl Jam fan. -

Annoying sound through the whole side b. Exchanged it but same thing on the second copy. Really a bummer! It would be a nice pressing otherwise…

Excellent pressing, no warping on mine. Was surprised how great it turned out considering it’s coloured vinyl.

Omg my wife bought this on RSD this Saturday but I am not allowed to even look at it neverrmind play it. She has hidden it until my 60th birthday.
Oh bugger, as we say in Hull !!!
So thanks folks, really great to hear how good this sounds!?!? Give me a few weeks and I'll edit this review to a proper comment etc etc. Of course I'm only being ironic, or am I ?
Roll on birthday day. You lucky people.
Saw PJ at St. David's Hall in Bradford in early 1992 ( no I don't mean St. George's Hall, St. David's is much smaller up near the Alhambra theatre) and they were one of the best bands I have ever seen, ever. Of course they were still young and fresh faced playing all of "10" with such verve and enthusiasm . Eddy was climbing all over the theatre and everyone was so " into it" , a very sweaty gig if I recall correctly.
Big Country was my other best band at Leeds Roundhay Park for Radio 1 Big Weekend in 1996.

Edited 2 years agogreat pressing, flat and quiet ,I got a lot of problems in the past with PJ records (warped and noisy) , not this one , maybe my best one !

My pressing was flat and quiet, not a big Pearl Jam fan but thought I’d get it anyway. My complaint is with the sound, who is drumming on this album? The drums sound awful (just saw the credits) Matt Cameron? Never really heard of him, was he the original drummer? Sounds very different to the drummer on Vs & Vitalogy.
