Edited 15 years agoThis is one of the finest techno 12" to have ever made way through to my stereo. Though the competition is fairly large, "Krekc" does wonders to my feet, mind, heart and soul. All three tunes are killer squadron material, but the title track is out of this world. Speedy J's production skill and wicked sound manipulation really shine to the maximum here, although you do need a proper sound system to get the most out of it! Boy, it leaves you feeling like a jet fuel space shuttle just landed in your swimming pool while you were trying to remove a few fallen leaves from the water surface. A massive, beatless crescendo made of these loud and huge whistling sound effects just penetrates for minutes until the percussion literary performs a forced landing and runs over everyone's haed!
Hard, relentless, pursuing, highly entertaining, uplifting and damn effective, regardless of the occasion. It gets two fat thumbs up and I urge fans of techno to seek this one out, if they somehow managed not to yet! -
Edited 18 years agoI listening to "krekc" several times at the U60311 in Frankfurt and how this track made me feel like standing at the edge of an airport. This track sounds like a plane flying overhead at minimum height. Awesome!!!

Edited 20 years agoAlong with 'Blood Angels' by John Starlight, Krekc is one of the most derranged techno 12's i have ever heard. An unhinged beat breaks down for almost 3 minutes before finally dropping into a devastating beast of a bassline, complete with slightly off-beat background clicking which threatens to drive you to mental illness and beyond. I'd give my left arm to hear this at Fabric.
