Edited one year agoAs others have mentioned, I was surprised at how decent this sounded. I wish some of my Nat King Cole reissues sounded as good. Like others I also got this as "a deal" and would recommend it as such.
-
i have this one and also an original 1991 pressing and i gotta say the original is SO much better its crazy! Of course you cant go wrong with a Doug Saks mastering job.

Edited one year agoA modern classic, Natalie channeling her dad's most beloved hits. Large Basie-style arrangements with horn stabs and slow glisses. Beautifully recorded and mixed, lacquer cut by Bernie Grundman.
Paid $14.99 at Target for pink vinyl 2-disc set. However, 2 sides have some groove distortion.

Dang, impressed with this one coming from a clearance tag at Target. Lucked out! Great pressing of a true classic, sparkling full vocals and rich instrumentals. Great pickup if you love this recording!

Had to return the first copy. But the second copy sounds amazing. Beautiful pink color and a very good pressing. Would recommend if you like this kind of music. Natalie Cole’s soars with this pressing.

Yikes this sounds good. This duet pairing was cutting edge technology at time of release. Mastered by Bernie G and pressed by CRAFT, killer EQ, great separation ….strong recommend
