Never was a big hit in America, unlike the smash success it had in Europe. It's not like Black Box couldn't make it in America, because they had a number of hits afterwards, and the sound would've fit in with the house hits here in 1990.
Perhaps not releasing it as a commercial single until two years after it was released in Europe (and concurrently with their US hit "Strike It Up") didn't do it any favors, getting it lost in the shuffle.
A shame, a big piece of house music history, never heard of by most in America. -
This is a good Italo style house release... "Ride On Time" smacks of the eighties, but in the best possible way... the drums and vocal style are classic. "Ghost Box" is way downtempo with an "elegant" sort of sound... the sort of thing that would be the last track at a party before the last couple of people went home.
