Edited 10 days agoLP UK 1992 - I find some of Curve's CD releases a harsh listen due to the mastering exacerbating the natural brightness of the guitars, but this record is much warmer. The basslines are more prominent. It's still a very busy mix though, so don't expect any space to allow you to dissect what's going on - I suspect that they wanted it that way so that it washes over you like surf. My vinyl has some dark patterns in it but there's no surface noise.

How do the remasters sound? I've got an original CD and every speaker system I own - even in my car and with headphones, it sounds like a muddy mess with absolutely no separation?

Edited 4 months agoHorrible sound songs aren't that good. Terrible pressing. Very overrated I didn't get the poster. Who wants one
-
This pressing is unfortunately noisy. At least my copy. Has some kind of rustle on louder parts, especially on side A, despite the mint condition of surface. The poster size is 42 cm X 59,5 cm.
-
Curve understand and exploit the dynamics fizzing at their fingertips. No matter the genre, this is stadium sized sonic-ness gone slightly crazy, and above it, Toni Halliday doesn't so much sing as glare at the listener enforcing the hurt, threat and disgust in the songs.
