Edited one year agoThis pressing is flawless. It is a perfect example of why more often than not, you end up wasting money on supposedly improved “remasters”.

Edited 5 years agoOne of the best albums I've ever heard. . . This early release just has a nice, thick buttery, analog tone that destroys speakers and eardrums. The most atmospheric synth-wave ever. Sweet. Beautiful. Highly Enjoyable. The rendition of Cream's Strange Brew is epic.

The Big Bigot, or as it is known in North America Come Visit The Big Bigot, is an absolute landmark of an album. There's really nothing else like it. Catchy synth-pop songs and melodies are fleshed out with all manner of weird tape manipulations, lyrics are absurdist poetry with a heavy dose of humor, and all of it is held together by an astonishingly original and consistent sound design. The North American version replaces the pleasing track George The Animal with the even more pleasing Twenty Deadly Diseases. The result is a powerful document testifying to the power of human creativity given limited means. Anyone with even a remote interest in the development of electronic music is urged to seek out this profoundly unique recording. To repeat, there really is nothing else like it.
