DD's album that maintains a mysterious vibe throughout the album, like announcing a party somewhere and on a certain date before a meteorite falls. Or perhaps the undisclosed celebration of the end of time. This is how this Future Past sounds, an album that tries to reinvent that sound of the first two albums "Duran Duran" and "Rio". Use, in some cases, the same sequencer.
The collaborations and of Moroder do not contribute much. I think they should have followed the line of "Invisible", the first advance single and the best track on the album, or Future Past, which sound new.
My favorites from the album without counting those mentioned, in a total of 15 songs, are:
all of you
Give It Up All (Feat. Tove Lo)
Anniversary
Velvet Newton
TonightUnited
wings
laughing boy
Hammerhead (Feat. Ivorian Doll)
invocation
Falling (Feat. Mike Garson)
Regarding More Joy (Feat. CHAI) there was no need.
I think that with these 12 songs the album would have been more forceful.
I don't know, I think I liked "Paper Gods" better, let's see what time says.
