Pretty hard to prove one is legit nowadays. Almost hurts the value given anytime I see one I assume it’s fake lol.

100% FACT!!!!!! THE CASSETTE TAPE IS A BOOTLEG! I lived, worked in a local tape shop, and know who COPIED these for stores in SF AREA BACK IN 1984-86! THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL! We printed covers on photo copiers! We cut music mag photos, logo's and taped them on paper, cut them to case size and photocopied them in VOLUME! Just like boot LPs, tapes were made by EVERYONE!

Hi there. I need some help. I´ve found the Metal Up Your Ass Unofficial "Music For Nations" Vinyl in the Colour "White" for 20€ on a german Flea Market. But I can´t find any infos about that colour anywhere. I know they´re from and where released in different colours but know one knows about a white one (not clear or transparent white). I´ve allready asked some metallica vinyl forums about that, but nobody knows about this one. I hope someone here knows about that issue. Thanks

Couldn't resist adding my two cents as a blank-cassette nerd: there's no way the tape in these scans is a 1982 vintage; it wasn't around until at least '85.
Compare: http://vintagecassettes.com/tdk/tdk_files/tdk_year/tdk_82.htm
with: http://vintagecassettes.com/tdk/tdk_files/tdk_year/tdk_85u.htm
Conclusion: bootleg?? -

Edited 10 years ago10k copies coming on cassette this RSD! Not as exquisitely authentic as the true original (<snide 1920's guy voice> I liked them better before "Kill'em All"), but fun to own for $10.
