I cannot express how much of a disappointment this album was, and still is. "Funky Divas" went from style to style without being overproduced, keeping it grounded, always leaving room for humour and playfulness. There is some of that here, in Whatever and Let It Flow, but the rest is the blandest kind of r&b of the babyface kind of factory. No hip hop this time, almost no funky beats, barely any variation on the melodies, all "quiet storm" in the 90s fashion. Even the harmonising between the girls sounds extremely bland this time. The lack of narrative is so blatant that when the last a capella song enters it sounds like it does not have the credit to be there.
