Edited 7 years agoThe intro of Defcon Bass starts off slightly garagey, however, switches rather swiftly into a rather serious, dark vibe. Definitely on the early Sheffield Bass n Bleep tip. The bassline definitely rumbles and the rhythm is reminiscent of Nightmares On Wax's - Aftermath / I'm For Real. Chugging along in a decidedly hypnotic way. This reeks of north of England's gritty 1990 sound without the piano house cheese many were fond of in the neighbouring north west.
