Holy hell this sounds SO much better than I was anticipating. This is a really really solid pressing. Great dynamics, solid tight bass punch, great separation between instruments, really well balanced mastering. Big sound stage. The only place it falls a little short for me is in the vocal s where it can skew a little harsh at times especially when the vocals are really driving. I haven't heard it but I'm sure this is where the newer KPG remaster really cleans things up. But honestly, minor gripe, this sounds excellent and you absolutely cannot beat an OG JP with the obi on purple vinyl. I mean, c'mon, this might be the coolest record I have in my collection.
EDIT- Recently compared this copy to the KPG remaster and this JP has it beat, better detail, separation and punch although yes, the KPG does have warmer vocals.
