my copy has light dish warp, but doesn't affect the audio. Otherwise decent pressing with nice art and cutout outer sleeve. Includes mono insert collage.
This is likely Pharoah's last recording, as he died in '23 I think. I've watched his last live gig video and he was very weak/frail on stage. Nevertheless, he is still creating beautiful music to the end. He has a few moments of melodic brillance and the arrangements with synths and orchestra are well written and executed. -
Playing this now for the first time. Seems to be a very good pressing, but a copy with no insert. Maybe a recent variant. Side one was a little dull, but side 2 is more to my taste. Maybe one that I should have bought on CD......I'll comment again in a few months!!

This pressing appears to be a Russian roulette. Seems like I got the loaded chamber because the constant surface noise makes this subpar. I can tell there is a really well-mastered and produced piece of art beneath it, alas, it’s a shame.

Commenting to add that my copy, gifted to me, was also severely warped in a bowl shape. Surprisingly it sounds fantastic.

Happy to report that my copy sounds perfect, barely any clicks or pops, super flat disc. I was nervous when I saw the other reviews, but I guess I lucked out.

My copy had a tonne of clicks and pops. Given how quiet the music was, it was basically unlistenable. I am usually not that picky but it was terrible.
Thankfully, multiple rounds of ultrasonic cleaning improved it a lot and brought it back to listenable. -
One of the most warped records I've bought new. Sounds is okay where playable but I'm scared to play it even after months of squishing vertically between stacks of records. Bit disappointed because it's a masterpiece of an album.

Fantastic pressing of a fantastic album. The mastering sounds perfectly optimised for vinyl's noise floor, and I have no audio issues with it (though it is noticeably warped). The artwork and die-cut cover on top of it is also incredible and fits perfectly with the retro sound.
