I have this but mine plays at 45 rpm and similar but different runout. Should it be listed separately? Same red vinyl and just received from Dischord.

the music itself sounds great. unfortunately there’s a whooshing noise in the right channel, i suspect nonfill, but it’s only noticeable during the very few quiet parts. additionally, the side 2 label has rips coming from the hole, each about a half inch. disappointed with quality control but overall not too mad about sound quality.

Edited 3 years agoLooks awesome, the candy apple red vinyl is good enough to eat. Art reproduction on both the sleeve and insert is top notch. My copy had a severe edge warp on arrival, but I'm working with Dischord to get a replacement. However, the edge warp did not affect playback too much so I can still comment on the pressing quality. Theres noticeable surface noise in between tracks and on the lead-in groove, but once each track gets going, they mostly unnoticeable (except for a few crackles and a light pop or two in quieter ages- slightly annoying, but not enough to distract from the music). This pressing is cut VERY loud, and even when I'm cranking it on my system theres no sound quality degradation or distortion. Super punchy, and an awesome amount of detail and clarity- I can easily hear every layer in each track, and nothing is muddled or suffocated in the mix. This pressing absolutely rips a lot more than I expected. Even for modern vinyl,I doubt I could get a better sound out of an original copy (which are going for $50+ now iirc and even then not in VG+ or NM condition).
UPDATE: Dischord sent me a replacement copy, no warp on this one but it's still a bit noisy in quieter ages, and has two short pops in the otherwise-silent age in Waiting Room where the music cuts out for a second. I'd honestly rather have them there than where there's actually recorded sound thats being screwed up by defects. Overall, the sound/mastering quality is the best part of this release but the quality control/pressing quality is a bit lacking. However, not bad for $17 color vinyl with a printed insert and direct from the label. Still worth getting over a G+/VG OG copy. -

There is a bit of discrepancy here. Supposedly 1000 pressed but 1065 owned. Learn how to work Discogs as some of us rely on this as valuable information.

First introduction to this album was of course on cassette back in the day when Waiting Room was all the rage. Honestly this sounds really good and is a nice clean pressing. I'd say MPO got it right with this one. Got it direct from Dischord for cheap.

Beautiful, beautiful color. I always thought red was overdone for colored vinyl releases but this is perfect. Here's hoping we get a colored edition of *every* Fugazi album.
