One of the clearest and most successful examples of all-star hardcore bands, the infamous Skarhead comprised the impressive three-vocal assault of Lord Ezec (of Crown Of Thornz fame),
Lou Dibella (Subzero) and Boston Mike (rip), being that their recognizable hallmark as well as the awesome bunch of hardcore anthems collected on "Kings At Crime". "Snickers", "TCOB",
"YA$", "Drugs, Money & Sex", "Goin' Back To Cali", "Dogs Of War"... all tracks here are absolutely winners.
A perfect and aggressive mix of NYHC, metal, hip-hop and punk-oi!, drenched with brutality, raw attitude and tough guy lyrics. Not to mention the amazing list of guest appearances invited to the studio to the party, a complete who-is-who of the New York hardcore scene: Roger Miret (Agnostic Front), Freddy Cricien
(Madball), Craig Setari (Sick Of It All), John Joseph (Cro-Mags), Jorge Rosado (Merauder), Toby Morse (H2O)... only to name a few.
In all, and without any doubt, "Kings At Crime" represents one of the best and most uncompromising albums of street music and one of the cornerstones of DMS and NYHC, infused with songs, lyrics, attitude and brutality.
Could you think of anything better?
