Core material is drawn from a session at Studios La Buissonne, Pernes-les-Fontaines, near Avignon in April 2008, with detail added in Los Angeles in November and December. Live recordings from Courtrais, Belgium, and London, as well as a remix of a piece originally created for a Wim Wenders movie, are also integrated into the atmospheric, filmic flow, along with short samples snared throughout 2008.

Hoping this gets a vinyl reissue as part of the recently announced ECM Luminescence series.

Jon Hassell's website lists this album as being about 70 minutes instead of 63, and containing an 11th song ("From One Place to Another") that doesn't appear to be on any of the listed editions of the album. Does anything know if this tracklist was an error, or if there's another version of this album floating around?

Edited 6 years agoI happened to be checking out some things that I own on discogs and where they are at for prices now. When it was released, I paid 35.00 canadian for it. The prices online for it now are absurd. A warning to all looking or considering getting it. Don't. The pressing is not worth the prices online. TBH, I wouldn't even spend the 35.00 I did in the first place. Stick with the cd or digital.
