Kind of a spotty album. Some great tracks, but also some clunkers. Funk, jazz and some fluff in equal amounts. Cleveland’s bass sound is kind of honky and nasal, and mixed real hot (it’s his name on the cover right? Turn it up!).

Edited 4 years agoVery impressed with this one. The pressing is excellent, the entire album sounds like a super funky lost soundtrack to a blacksploitation movie that never was. Funky jams, soulful numbers, some Funkadelic style numbers, and ever some jazz fusion. Bonus points for some killer additional notes on Cleveland and all the associated artists. More of that please!!!
