Received my copy today (Mar 2025) - it’s a black vinyl 2lp in single outer sleeve, with black inner sleeves. All info (runouts) are the same as the white deluxe edition. No extras, just the records. Autolux Empire emailed me a few weeks ago stating there was an issue at the pressing plant, or distributor. Asked if I would mind that the record would be black vinyl, instead of white. So, no complaints here, the sound is amazing, no issues. The color of records doesn’t matter to me at all, just want a good sounding one.

Edited 2 years agoPressing is not that great, lot of surface noise. I asked for a replacement and it was the same deal. I regret I bought it as I already had the first 2LP issue. (I have a Nagaoka MP100 which is known to be forgiving).

Great pressing. I bitched about the price on their instagram and they sent me a copy for free. Now I feel like kind of an asshole. Thank you Autloux for your kindness.

Third version of their album on vinyl:
1) Single sleeve, black vinyl
2) Gate-fold, black vinyl
3) This one, single sleeve, but white vinyl -
Edited 4 years agoSo mine finally arrived (second batch) and unfortunately I had one side of the cover that was really crushed and one side that is quite dented as well. The packaging was not precautious at all... Shipping all the way to Europe, it could have been done better. Especially for the amount of money (both the product and the shipping...) Unfortunately there is also quite some surface noise on one of the sides. Having said all that... I regret nothing. This album is a masterpiece and I just needed to have it. I also like the 'ghost colour' and the artbook with the lyrics. I'll cherish it forever.

Don't bother buying from one of these scumbag flippers, buy direct from the band for half the price.

Very happy with the sound of this pressing. I’m hearing details that were hidden in the digital files I’ve been listening to for years. No clicks, pops or surface noise either. Records are heavy and warp free, thicker than most other 180 gram records in my collection.
Now comes the bad news: the packaging. It’s a very flimsy single pocket wide spine sleeve. The thick 9x9 booklet they’ve included outside the shrinkwrapped record, does not fit in the sleeve comfortably with the records, without risking it leaving a square impression on the cover over time. Where am I supposed to keep this thing? I have the postal service to thank for crushing one of the corners on my copy, but the box Autolux Empire sent these out in was bulging and too small for the contents, with zero protection, no bubble wrap or cardboard. Its like they didn’t care what condition people received this in.
I wouldn’t even bother writing this minor complaint if this were a $30 set. But its rather insulting that they can’t even bother to properly pack these things that they are asking FIFTY DOLLARS for pre shipping.
