A Certain Kind (the unknown recording) is probably from : The Ce Soir On Danse July 1967
The weird thing is the bootleg Live 1967-'69 sounds better than this official version, more stereo seperation and cleaner, the performance is NEAR identical if not the same, just that the official one were tweaked too much..... -
Edited 4 years agoThis is a release that I don't think a lot of people know about. That's a shame because it's really the only official, quality live recording of early Soft Machine with Kevin Ayers in full flight. It would be preferable to have it on vinyl rather than CD, but I suppose it's a case of supply and demand.
