Reviews

Stock, Aitken & Waterman are forever indebted to the producers of this proto-house classic. Great pressing out if with a good selection of mixes.
-
"Trapped" is not yet Garage House as claimed in the Style category. It's perhaps the one track which early Chicago House producers emulated mostly when the genre began to take shape. It's producer Richard Burgess wasn't a part of the Chicago producer/dj scene and it came out directly on the major label MCA. Call it Pre-House or Proto-House but it ain't Garage House.

Edited 19 years agoThis is Proto-House track that came out in 1985. It could easily fit into an early House set and it was played at clubs such as the Hacienda. It could also be classed as a Soul classic. Either way it's just brilliant Black vocal Dance music of the highest order.
