Edited 3 years agoHistory has not been kind with this album. Strange because it's a very bold selection, especially the four tracks that make up Side One, these are all very dark songs, claustrophobic even with lots of sound data crammed into the grooves - perhaps thanks to new possibilities of the 16 track console at Studio Dierks where Czukay mixed Side One. This side presents Can Night Music. Side Two was mixed at Inner Space and sounds more optimistic with the proto ambient piece Unfinished permitting some beams of light.

The most under-rated album of CAN's catalog. The most "listenable" of all the 70's studio records, "Landed" features CAN in all their mid-70's glory. Still highly avant-garde and experimental but much more accessible to more general fans of 70's underground rock weirdness. A must for all fans of Krautrock and an album NO fan of CAN should miss!!!
