This is the product of a short-lived Robert Henke side project pre-Monolake. Index was omitted from Hongkong upon reissue ostensibly because it ruined the flow of the album. While the rest of Hongkong is pretty mellow, this is a (dark) head-bopper. Alone, it is a cool track, but Henke was right, it's a misfit.

Edited 11 years agoYes, this record is groundbreaking. I bought this record when it was published and over the years especially Index I became one of the most important techno tracks ever for me, combining deepness, drive and special effects. I'm deeply grateful for this everlasting masterpiece of Robert Henke.

Edited 19 years agoLong, monotonous, hypnotic techno trip. A journey with subtle variations that only a full listening on a good sound system will reveal. In which case, it is excellent. Ideal music to drive to on the highway, during a long, quiet night.
