Such an awesome pressing! The vinyl is dead silent, flat, and clean. The dynamics on this release are insanely good, which is to be expected from a Bob Ludwig mastering. The packaging is also great with printed inners, side D etching, and beautiful gatefold with attached booklet. Rufus is clearly back to form here and if you're a fan, you should give this album a listen—especially on vinyl. Highly recommended!

Sounds good but I should have waited because I eventually saw this as low as $15 in USA and I paid $40 upon release. I really disliked the album at first also but it finally grew on me.

Edited 3 years agoGreat album, well mastered by Bob Ludwig. Absolutely dead quiet and flat (well, as flat as a record can ever realistically be) pressing from GZ.
-
Stunning album and great pressing! No noise or hisses, all pieces intact (inner sleeve included). There was some debris on the record when I received it, but it could be brushed off. Only complaint is that the volume is not great - it feels very quiet on the slow songs.

Mine sounds sensational, No noise, No pops or cracks. Very happy. Rufus has done it again! Great Album

Edited 4 years agoAn absolutely AWFUL pressing based on 3 copies I have heard. I have come to the conclusion that buying GZ records is like taking £30 out of your wallet, setting fire to it and then punching yourself in the face. All 3 copies had dreadful surface noise on side 1, a repetitive hissing noise not unlike GZ's shocker of a pressing for Elton John's "Diamonds" LP which should be avoided at all costs. I really don't know what it is about this plant; their lack of QC, their inattention at test press stage, the way they just let stamper deformities , the way they crease the inner sleeves as they shove the records in, the fingerprints, the careless, obvious flaws in the discs which they just blithely on to the consumer. I hate their records and this is just another one for the scrapheap. Don't waste your money.
