Anyone know how this compares to the mofi version? This is the only version I have of this album.

Great sound mostly! Better than the Sticky Fingers reissue I have from this same series, just a bit of distortion at the end of Side A but nothing that ruins it. Definitely not a bad choice for this album

Just purchased this from Amazon and my copy is flawless- French pressing as noted by the sticker. Perhaps they farmed it out to RI or something? Just speculation. If MPO pressed this, things have changed greatly for the better.

Anyway, about the record, I know it’s DSD to LP, but it sounds great! Decent soundstage, dead quiet and great music. What’s not to like?

Perfect, well, almost... it's a record...
All the half speed issues sounded good to me, and yes, especially Sticky Fingers, only problem is the pressing and handling done by MPO as ANY copy but this one had visible scuffs which were also audible to an extent that's far beyond the certain click between tracks. Tried three (!) copies of Sticky Fingers, NONE was without flaws, though the cut itself is absolutely brilliant compared to 70s' copies.
If these were pressed somewhere else, then I would highly recomended them all, sadly it's a bit of hit or miss concerning pressing quality and quality control...

BUT: as mentioned, this one is very, very fine, much better than earlier represses that have been played to death.

Decent remaster. A bit bright in some places. Not the worst ever halfspeed remaster (Sticky Fingers comes to mind). Clarity is good, but it’s propbably better to source an old analoge issue. Good vinyl and pressing quality, though.

Really nice pressing. Mine isnt MPO though and is a different variant to this. It still has the Miles Abbey 1/2 Speed runs but then has Record Industry plant imprints. For me this is a bonus as RI are farrrrr better at producing records than MPO. Hence my copy is clean, flat, silent. Mastering is punchy. I really like my copy and cant hear what the bit of fuss is about elsewhere but YMMV as ever!

horrible sounding, no air, no separation, boring. sounds like it was recorded and produced in your local rappers basement studio

This pressing sounds phenomenal to me! Some of the half-speed masters have been hit and miss (Sticky Fingers sounded atrocious), but this one really sounds great. Very comparable to the Exile on Main Street half-speed, which also sounded great in my opinion.

I would give this five stars, But the issue I have with this repressing is that the packaging doesn’t recreate the cutouts, I really wish they had tried to do it since that’s part of the album cover’s charm. Nostalgic too. Other than that it sounds great, one of the best rock albums of all time.
