Reviews
-
I must have hit the jackpot, my pressing is dead quiet and sound excellent with my setup. Packaging is weird, but unique ig.
-
although i love this album - something about this vinyl felt different.
i’m not the biggest fan of the cardboard sleeve and i understand that this album came out during the covid-19 pandemic but they couldn’t at least make the sleeve the actual album cover?
the pressing is a clear - which is usually the standard pressing for all the 1975’s records and the sound quality is okay.
good album though. -
Edited one year agoNew pressings of this don't come in a reusable sleeve? Mine came in shrink with the same hype sticker indicating its in a recycled bag.
There's some surface noise on the outer tracks of each disc but it gets better as you move to the middle. The album is so long though I'm not surprised there are some noise issues. -
Quite odd my copy came in shrink wrap vs the reusable sleeve. No update on the hype sticker that states there being a reusable sleeve. Interesting change dirty hit
-
A fair amount of surface noise throughout but mostly on sides A and B.
This album is a departure from previous albums for The 1975 but now knowing where they were going it was a good transition album. This album focuses on vibes from front to back with a fair amount of interludes and a lot of digital vocal effects. After a fair amount of listens I’m really digging this album as a whole but you won’t find as many as stand alone hits as you can find on previous releases, but that’s fine with me. -
absolutely fantastic and extremely underrated album, but this clear vinyl pressing is not very good. tons of surface noise and the cut isn't the best (it's cut from the compressed digital master used for the cd and stream/, and it sounds a bit overly thick on this pressing). i found that while there was a slight loss of subtle detail, the picture disc had a quieter noise floor, though i listen to the japanese CD edition more than both of these vinyl copies.

My pressing sounds great. Just opened it, cleaned it on my Vinyl vacuum and played it. Excellent music.
-
WHEW. I guess I got lucky too! It seemed impossible to find ANY good pressing so I waited ages to pull the trigger on this record. My expectations were totally blown away.
-
My copy sounds fantastic. I held off buying due to other reviews, but I have no issues whatsoever. May just be poor QC and I got lucky.
-
Poor packaging aside - I found the pops and clicks went away after a good thorough Groovewasher clean and it sounds fantastic as it should now! This is not a bad pressing, I am happy to report!
