I was profoundly affected by the movie and I believe this was due,in no small part,to the title track.Bruce Springsteen absolutely nailed it.the sadness,the quiet despair and the sheer emotion of this track makes one really think about the predicament of Tom Hanks's character and in turn all the real life sufferers,of which there were so many.
I'm not gay but at the tender age of 15 I was forced to really think about what it must have felt like for those who were back then.
A quiet masterpiece in my opinion.
