Never been a big Michael fan nor have I listen much to his music. But I must say that this song is one of the songs i like the most from him

The Time - a funky new jack song with a groovy beat, strings, organ chords and Michael's awesome singing

The Time (Silky Soul 7") - A groovy house remix by Steve "Silk" Hurley. with organs, strings, sax, piano and a groovy beat. I have listen to a couple of his 90's remixes and this on is as good as the others he has done.

The Time (New Jack Main Mix) - This has the same new jack feel as the original, but is longer and has a new drumbeat under it. Not that much different from the original song

The Time (12" Main Mix) - This version is just lazy filler. Extended by around 37 seconds. Just a little longer intro and outro from the album mix

The Time (New Jack Mix) - This one is identical to the "New Jack Main Mix" except that at being fully instrumental for the last 2 min or so it has Michael singing for a bit longer. Just lazy filler

The Time (Silky Soul 12" Mix) - The extended version of the Silky remix

The Time (Silky Soul Dub) - The dub version of Silky's remix. It has the same elements as the main remix but it is arranged differently. and since it is a dub, it plays more with the vocals. Chopping them up and plays with them a bit more. An okay version

The Time (E-Smoove's Late Nite Mix) - Another awesome groovy house remix by E-Smoove. I like this a little bit better than Silky's remix, but it is not by much. I love the piano in this remix. The early 90's house sound is embodied in this and silky's remixes. This really is a late night mix. Perfect for a late night listen

Come Together - never been a big fan of this song in general, so still not a big fan of this cover from Michael either. The sound reminds me a bit of his "Black and White" song, a bit of rock-pop ish

overall, this single has some awesome mixes and a couple that could have been removed and are just lazy fillers. It is worth getting this single for the E-Smoove and Silky remixes
