20-minutes of perfect experimentation on pop and Kraut. As rhythmic as Broadcast got with a fantastic lead-off single. Can dreams, for sure, and lovely, lovely Keenan vox. Pretty and gritty at the same time. I'm in love with the live drums and totally miss this band. Fortunately we have the Tara King Theory to take their torch.

On their <I>Pendulum</I> EP, Broadcast seems to cram in all the ideas that didn’t fit onto <I>Ha Ha Sound</I>. “One Hour Empire,” is a compressed, intense instrumental workout that doesn’t really go anywhere. “Still Feels Like Tears” is traditional Broadcast, but with added , while “Violent Playground” puts us back where “One Hour Empire” left off. Most of the tracks seem unfinished and the EP as a whole keeps you wanting more.
