Notes

1st issue.
The "KC" cat# prefix was used for prints from the release in November 1973 until July 1975, when the album was re-released around the time of "Born To Run" and Springsteen's major breakthrough. At that time the "KC" prefix was replaced by the "PC" prefix. The prefix was a Columbia price code.

Reviews

    Beachbeatle1
A rich musically varied set of bright energetic tunes & epic lyrical songwriting possessed of characters references & conflicts of the fever-dreams of youth that’s part soul, part carnival, fusing pop w/ R&B & a touch of jazz as a sort of American Van Morrison that turns ‘70s urban & suburban American nightlife into cinematic poetry w/ the E Street Band providing the rocking soundtrack at full-throttle exuberance at a rollicking heart-bursting party. A consistently good album w/ nary a weak track on it that still retains its freshness and vitality 51 years after its release.
An absolute master piece of singular power & beauty. Should be in every collection!
