This Limited Box Set includes the bonus Images in Vogue - Best Of Collection disc (no artwork), Originally released separately as SPG 2400.
Comes in a fat jewelcase with a cardboard slipcase.
A few copies of this release were handed to radio stations and key DJs in Toronto as promotional copies and did not include the bonus Images In Vogue disc.
This was the first pressing which is similar to other release Various - Classic Alternatives 4 - 80's Retro Hits (12" Extended Rare Mixes) except for changes in the title and packaging and was also released without the Images In Vogue disc.
Some track times incorrect on release, corrected times above taken from CD player.
Most mix/remix titles are not printed on the release, notably on the first 3 CDs.
There are also numerous typographical errors in the credits.
Track 2-02 title is actually written "P.Machinery" on the release.
Track 2-02 incorrectly credited as being mixed by Lee Monteverde who mixed the T-Empo Remix. This version is the original Polish mix.
Track 2-9 seems to be exclusive to this release, an edit of one (or more) of the 1990 Carl Segal remixes.
Track 3-5 has an edited intro.
Tracks 4-06 and 4-12 are listed on disc without mix names.
Track 4-16 listed on disc as "Version".

Edited 3 years agoFor whatever reason volume 4 of the Classic Alternatives series was released as a 3 disc set, finalizing the series at 6 discs. One complaint I would levy is that the output levels of this release are significantly higher than the previous volumes. Must own music for those who want ultimate 80's collections. Not nearly as 'alternative' as the previous volumes and the mastering is different. -
This would be an excellent compilation were it not for the fact that several of the tracks presented here were taken from vinyl sources (and some dirty ones at that).
