Edited 8 months agoLOVE SOPHIE, no comments about the album besides absolute perfection. It could be the pressing I have, but it deserves a much better mastering 😭 I have to turn up my stereo way more than normal for this record and there’s lots of noise because the audio seems so quiet. On side B (Not okay) it skips through the song like crazy. I examined my disc and my needle and there doesn’t seem to be any imperfections or warping so im not sure. I’ve had this copy for a long time now ( i think i bought in 2020-2021) but reading other reviews I might need to get a different copy.

Edited 10 months agoMy copy sounds almost perfect, there is just a bit of surface noise during the song Pretending, but this surface noise is not too loud so it's ok. The red color of the vinyl is beautiful, the artwork and poster are gorgeous, the gatefold is one of the prettiest that i've ever seen. I personally don't understand why the songs Infatuation and Not Okay are on two different sides, since the outro of Infatuation is the intro of Not Okay I think it would be more logical to put these songs next to each other on one side of the vinyl (but maybe there wasn't enough space to do so). This isn't a big downside, it's just something I noticed.
***July 2024 update : After cleaning my vinyl a couple times and now that I upgraded to an Audio-Technica turntable the surface noise on Pretending is gone - or at least it's not audible enough to annoy me - so I'm happy 💕💕***
I literally fell in love with this album when I discovered it in 2019, and I can't believe I finally have it on vinyl years later in 2024... This is one of my favorite electro albums of all-time ♥ RIP SOPHIE, you will not be forgotten <3 -

Looks like I got a good copy. Pretty flat disc, the most noticeable surface noise on Pretending. Other than that it’s pretty clean sounding. It’s honestly a little bit funny listening to this album and hearing it pushing the vinyl format to its very limits. As a result, I noticed a tiny bit of sibilance, but what can you do. Would recommend!
