a better tomorrow still thumps as a opening track. Dan has made some great beats over the years, but the production on this whole LP is god tier. you get a few good minutes to appreciate the beat in whole, and the buildup to Keith dropping his weird rhymes and the Death Wish sample kill it clean. i'm also very fond of Sleep and Cartoon Capers. The other unknown rappers are good but on par with Keith's imagery.

a must have for all Keith fans and his later work as Octagon.

The Much Better Tomorrow was a classic release in its own right, albeit one whose genius was sadly overlooked. This adds a few bonus tracks to turn it into an LP, the results being half an album being a Kool Keith album as good as Dr Octagon and Sex Style, and half an album of patchy filler. Best of the previously unreleased tracks has to be Cartoon Capers, with Keith rapping about hanging out with Charlie Brown and Snoopy and stripteasing Penelope Pitstop!

This LP is an extended version of the 'A Better Tomorrow' EP (Ubiquity Records, 1996). The new tracks were recorded around the same time as the original EP, which was also the period he was working on the Dr. Octagon album with Kool Keith.
