The bad: threadbare packaging.... jacket as thin and cheap as can be and a paper only plain inner.
The good: actually comes clean and plays superbly when washed to boot. Bellmans cut it well. The sound is more than decent enough!
TO CONCLUDE: solid pressing alround but shown as little love as poss by Warner on the packing. Still recommended for listening! -
Annoying surface noise
Bass is too heavy
Found some distortion as well
I largely prefer the digital version -
Edited one year agoThis is an immaculate sounding vinyl! I picked this up sealed at Half Price Books, so maybe they got a shipment of the good pressing of this release. The only downside is the vinyl is a little warped, so your needle is going to go on a bit of a ride, but it’s nothing major.

my pressing has very significant surface noise unfortunately. it's a shame since the record looks very nice and the music is great. it does sound like a great master, but a poor pressing.

Evocative and trancending music. Sadly, this pressings grooves were full of crud. Sticky release agent, Took ages to clean side 1, side 2 still sounds gritty after Orinoko flow.

Edited 4 years agoAbsolutely sensational pressing and sonics; great job by Chris Bellman. Full artwork and inner sleeve. Some pops and clicks which I’ve come across on multiple pressings. Optimal are getting slack. If you get a clean copy, you’re in for a sonic masterpiece.
