Non-Stop sounds like a mecha anime opening from 1983. (10 words)

The A side of this twelve inch started off with a familiar sounding version of Open Your Heart, with very little difference to the radio edit. The second track, Non-Stop is best left in 1981. It really is a cheesy, terrible recording sounding like a bad children’s television theme.
The B side of this twelve inch starts off sounding very cheesy, sounding like eighties test card music; I thought I had it playing at the wrong speed. It really got worse until it slowed down into the instrumental of Open Your Heart. This was a little bit more interesting as an example of a stripped down Martin Rushent production. There were some interesting harmonizer effects thrown over the top of the bare, instrumental recording. Then later on it mixed back into the theme from the Chuckle Brothers. I can’t imagine a DJ playing this in a 1981 club! I really should have left it in the charity shop where I found it, even at its twenty five pence price tag.
