Edited 2 years agoMy vinyl copy sounds ok? Sorry that others aren’t having that experience
My system is very warm though
Plenty of bottom end, vocals nice and clear, it sounds of it’s time which is a nice mix of 90s post rave/dance/club influences and pure pop music drawing on underground electronic music which they always do.
Its production sounds like a 90s club record, all midrange, bass and shiny treble but it doesn’t sound like a ‘hi fi’ record
You know the deal with these chaps, innovative music, classic songwriting chops which can produce pure gold.
Prices seem to be creeping up which is bonkers. They can’t have run out already?
I’d get a cheap copy while you can -

I love the sound of vinyl as much as anyone, but all ya all have a go at the Masters (MQA) version on Tidal. I can’t express accurately how beautiful it sounds, especially through a good pair of headphones. OMFG.. to my ears, perfection.

Pumped to finally have this on wax. Agree with these posts—lots of sibilance on the re-issue, on side A, "Se A Vida È", "It Always Comes As A Surprise". On the flipside, you can hear it on the last two tracks a bit too. I know it's annoying when an album is spread accross 2 12"s, but this would have sounded a lot better as a double pack, especially considering half of these are club tracks.

The record sounds good, but there is some sssevere sssibilance on It Always Comes as a Surprise, one of their best songs. I can tame the sibilance a little by lowering the 8 kHz on my EQ. That helps.

The cover and inner sleeves look excellent. But man am I having audio issues. Most of the songs sound great! However, the last 2 songs of side A sound horrible. Wayyyy to much sibilance to my ears and it does it constantly. I have tried it with 2 different cartridges and they both have sibilance. Overall, not a bad pressing, but those songs have way too much sibilance!

These vinyl reissues sound excellent to these ears (despite cramming quite a lot of music on each side). Artwork, inners etc all great quality too.
